Feels like Fall

The weather feels like it's starting to change. Yesterday, the sun was hot but a strong, cool wind blew all day. Today there are clouds in the sky, and there's a feel in the air as if it could rain. I hung out the wash to dry, half-hoping there would be some rain and I would have to bring the wash back in to the house. I always find it fascinating that it doesn't rain here in Israel during the summer months. There generally isn't even a cloud in the sky. In fall and winter, we have a rainy season. Hasn't been enough rain the past couple of years, so little that it's considered a drought, and they say that if we don't get more rain, we will soon have a true water crisis. So we pray as hard as we can for a good rainy season, and do everything we can to conserve water.

My little Spiderweb quilt is starting to take shape. I turned all the blocks around so now the red background looks like stars, and sewed the first borders on. Have made one of the Chinese Coins borders already, but haven't sewn it on yet. It's a lot of fun to do.

DH returns home from the States tonight. Hope he is bringing some quilting goodies with him!

I love your spiderweb quilt! The red fabric as a background is perfect.
