Wanted: Advice

This top was pieced last spring, but never quilted until now. Yesterday I found the perfect purple marbled fabric for the backing, so now it's all pinned and ready to go. I think I'd like to hand quilt it. Problem is: I love quilting Baptist Fans, lots and lots of Baptist Fans. I think they would look really nice on this little quilt (it's crib size). On the other hand, I could: quilt 1/4" from the seams in the schoolhouses, quilt nice cables in the sashing, quilt nice little flower-motif-thingies (I have the stencils) in the cornerstones, etc. etc. etc.
I don't know what's happened to me, but for some reason, that stuff is starting to bore me and I'm just feeling like quilting some nice, homey Baptist Fans. What would you do?
Please leave me a comment with your vote. I'll add them all up, and go with whichever option received the most votes. That's democratic, isn't it?

I think you should take cue from the flowery fabric in the border. I like the idea of flowers in the corner stones. The straight lines of the houses and sashing could profit from some wavy, vine-like motives (echoing the curvy stems in the border fabric).
Keep us posted.

I think if you want a rather mindless project you should go with the baptist fans. The other way will take a lot of planning.
