It's Been Quiet

Or rather, I'VE been quiet. Am still trying to catch up on sleep--and unpack everything  from our trip to the States. We arrived back in Israel on Monday night, after a mostly-uneventful trip. Of course, there was that little problem with the flight from Houston to Atlanta. A delay due to what they nowadays call "weather" caused us to almost miss our connection from Atlanta to Tel Aviv. A mad dash to the gate ensued, alongside lots of other people running to make their various connections. Many flights were late, so everyone was rushing to their gates. Luckily, we made our connection, even with some time to spare, as they were doing extra security checks and that slowed things down a bit.
After a long but relaxing flight to Tel Aviv, we made it home on Monday night. Several days of jet-lag followed. Lucky thing that there was no school on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, because Menucha would never have been able to get up on time. However, this morning she surprised me by getting up at 6:00 a.m. and when I came downstairs she was all ready to go. So she seems to be back on schedule.
I spent the day yesterday unpacking, putting the suitcases away, and catching up on laundry. Finally finished!
A schedule for next week is already forming, as we go back to normal life. Sunday, I'm babysitting for grandson Itamar, who I haven't seen in a long while. He's almost 6 months old now. Will try to snap some photos, but he doesn't hold still for too long! I hope to go out to Betar for the quilt group on Monday, and on Tuesday I take care of my MIL. Maybe on Wednesday I'll manage to get in some sewing. I have a new project in mind. Will share it with you if I do find the time to start it.
Have a good weekend, and hope you get to sew a bit!
