We're going to be Famous!

Well, this was an exciting day for our little quilt group. A lady who writes for one of the magazines I read came to our meeting and interviewed us all for an article she is going to do about us!

It's not a quilting magazine at all, really it's a magazine for ladies, and it comes out every week. It turns out that I knew the lady before. She was actually the proctor for the first test I took for the college program I'm in. So it was like being visited by a very nice old friend. She asked all about quiltmaking, and took notes in her little netbook computer as we talked. It was interesting to see someone who never knew anything about quilting suddenly get an earful from a whole room full of quilters! First we talked about the "nuts and bolts", you know: take a big piece of fabric, cut it up into little pieces of fabric, sew them all together. Then we got to the other thing about quilting--why we do it, what it means to us, why it's important in our lives. It was beautiful to sit and listen to what everyone had to say.
My joke was that next week she'll be back with fabric and a rotary cutter. *lol*
