Here in Florida

Here I am, in the good old U.S. of A. Visiting with my parents in beautiful South Florida. The weather was quite cold for the first couple of days after I got here, but now it is warming up nicely and actually starting to feel like Florida.
Yesterday we ate at a nice restaurant called European Cafe, in Boca Raton. We enjoyed lunch with my daughter's in-laws, who we are quite close with. I did forget to take pictures yesterday, even though the camera was right in my purse. I had a wonderful panini with portabello mushrooms; was that ever delicious! From there we drove to a really great quilt shop that was only about 10-15 minutes away, called Sunshine Sewing. This was my first time there, and do they ever have beautiful fabric. If you are ever in the area, you should stop in. Faye Nicoll and her husband own and manage the store together. What a nice "mom and pop" feel the store has! Faye has designed some beautiful Judaic quilts, and samples are hanging all around the shop. She has used lots of Kaffe Fassett fabrics, and the machine quilting and embellishment are stunning! She has lots of kits for sale, so you can make her designs. There are also nice Judaic quilt hangers for sale. All of these things (and more) are available on her web site. Check them out!

Special regards to you ladies in Beitar. I'm thinking of you! Haven't had any time to check my Reader, so Etty if you have posted anything, I will have to get caught up when I get home. Am keeping busy enjoying my visit with Mom & Dad. Send hugs to the group from me!

Hi Susan, I'm so glad to hear a few words from you. Enjoy visiting with your parents. It may be warmer here than there :)
Have an easy fast and good Shabbos and a safe trip home.

Hi Susan,
I am thrilled to find your link to the Florida quilt shop with Judaica designs and for the pictures of a couple of those designs. I want to replace my Hanukkah decorations and Love the zigzag Menorah wall hanging. I followed your link and will most likely be ordering one or more of her patterns. I followed you and am already following your Beitar quilting group. Thanks for the information. Shalom, Yael
