Many Thanks

Thanks to all of you who took time out of your busy day to send such nice wishes on the birth of the new baby.
Although he looks a bit like a redhead, his hair (so far) is actually a very light blonde. Here is the only redheaded descendant I have so far:

Now THAT'S what I call red hair! Woohoo!
Menucha wanted needed a new bag for school this year. And she wanted to make it herself. So we went to the fabric store together and picked out some nice fabric.  This was the result:

She's so pleased with how it came out, now she wants to tackle something a little more challenging.  You know, with pockets and other doodads.  I guess another fabric-hunting trip is coming up. :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Menucha did a great job on the bag!

I have one very real redhead with blue eyes. He's 23. When I was delivering, the midwives/nurses all started yelling 'gingy, gingy'. Every time I walked into the nursery, they would say, "Hinei ha-ima shel ha gingy". (Here's the mother of the gingy.) (pronounced jinjee) We were celebrities, LOL!

Now all three of my grandchildren, so far, are blonde hair, blue eyes.

Please tell Menucha that she did a wonderful job. Her new bag is adorable. All her friends will want one now.

It looks like this daughter may be following in her mommy's footsteps, which I think is GREAT.
Great job Menucha.

LOL Susan! The 1st thing my red-headed grandmother asked when each of my kids was born was 'What color's their hair?' Congratulations!
