I've wanted to make this quilt for such a long time, but never had the pattern. Finally I found it on a website called www.make-it-do.com. This seemed like the perfect pattern to for those adorable 1930s reproduction fabrics. It was easy to make, using the "corner square" technique, and came together very quickly. Now I just have to decide how to quilt it...perhaps by hand with perle cotton and big stitches? I've come to enjoy quilting with the perle cotton and the results are so nice looking. What do you think?

Wow, it's fantastic, Susan! Who's it for? I did big stitch quilting on two (that I can remember) large quilts. It really looks good and adds a lot to the look of the quilt. I think more than regular quilting. And, it's easy and quick!
Fantastic quilt. I really love it.
Love the quilt, but will the handstitching survive many washes?
I don't see why not. If you use a good perle cotton, rather than an inferior product, and secures the ends properly, it should last.
