So What's New Here?

This has been a busy summer, with Menucha in day camp, and lots of family dropping in to visit. I've been babysitting a lot for Ariel, plus trying to get ready for our trip to the States. Can't believe we're leaving next week! We'll be there for 4 weeks, hope I'll manage to hit the LQS once or twice and stock up on some new fabric. I've finished a lot of UFO's this year...so don't I deserve to start some new ones? *LOL*!
Also, my friend Kim Komet tells me she has a longarm and we're going to get together while I'm there--I hope we'll get to PLAY! I can't wait to see what she has done on it. She is a great quilter, and has made a Karen K Stone quilt that is TO DIE FOR. Maybe she'll let me post a photo of it here.
In the meantime, here is a photo of the baby quilt I made for my little granddaughter. The top was about 10 years old. After I pieced it, I didn't like the colors for some reason and just put it away. Well, 10 years later, I dug it out and guess what, it's a really nice little quilt top with very pretty citrusy colors. Found a nice flowered fabric in my stash for the backing, machine quilted it (I'm starting to be very comfortable with the machine quilting!) and that was it. An easy finish.
