Amish String Quilt

Here's an old UFO from a day-long class I took years ago with Ami Simms. That gal is so funny, we didn't stop laughing the whole day. It was a wonder we got any sewing done.

This is a close-up of one of the blocks.

The whole thing is hand-quilted in black. You can see some of the stitches in there. The stitching on the black blocks doesn't show up in a photo at all. Why didn't I finish quilting this one? Because I lost the stencil I was using to mark the corner triangles for quilting. And there is just one corner triangle left to do. So I found a different stencil, re-did the three that were done already, and now all I have to do is the last one. And the binding. It really is a pretty quilt. I guess now that I am in the laid-up-in-bed, hand-quilting mode, I should get this one finished.

Definitely finish this quilt-you're so close and then you can cuddle under a really cute quilt.
