A Quilty Confession

I have a confession to make. After a discussion yesterday at the quilt meeting about wonky quilts, I finally had to be honest with myself and admit it. I have never made anything even the least bit wonky. This has been bothering me a lot, especially as I am a big fan of Gwen Marston and her liberated quiltmaking. So this morning I went with trembling hands to the fabric cabinet, pulled out some solid fabrics...and began. All right, it's not perfect. And the fabric came out kind of fuzzy -looking in the photo. But still, it was fun, it wasn't done with templates, and it's going to open up the door to new creativity. So what could be bad about that?

I am with you... never made anything wonky either, it's hard to step out side of the square, but I too would love to give it a go! Your wonky start looks great!

I made some wonky star blocks for the Wildfire Project...but they weren't very wonky! Yours is looking pretty good. :)

Thanks for posting about my give-away! Our computer problems were finally solved...Hot finally sent a repairman but I'm so behind in my blogging and I'm working on samples for Fall classes...very hectic!
