Wonder Works

Yesterday we spent the day at Wonder Works, a great hands-on science center. Everything there is fun for the entire family. I don't know if you can tell from my picture of the front of the building, but it was made to look like a building that was torn up from its foundation and plunked back down UPSIDE DOWN.
You can see the "street" at the top of the picture. I don't know how they did this!
We only have two more days in Florida. It has been such a fun trip. We have to decide what to do for the last two days. I was promised a trip to a quilt shop, but somehow I don't see it happening. I will have to figure out how to fit it in.
Last night before I went to bed, I took out my package of Kaffe Fassett fat quarters, which I had never even opened up. Just wanted to take a look. Those fabrics are so beautiful and silky. The colors are amazing. Will have to take photos in daylight, because the dim light in the bedroom would never do them justice. This is the first time I have had any of these fabrics, and looking at them I understand what the fuss is. They are just fabulous. I have 10 more fat quarters coming in the mail next week, and can't wait to see them and get all the fabrics together. Then I have to decide what to do with them...if I can bring myself to cut them.
