Middle of the night Madness

Worked yesterday at our local thrift shop for a couple of hours. It was a lot of heavy physical work, and afterwards I was pretty tired. So at 9:00 I was already in bed for the night. Of course, the result of that was that at 3:00 a.m. I was back up! Not much I could do without waking up the rest of the family, so I spent some time piecing some more blocks for the Calico Comfort Nine Patch quilt.
I think we're up to 37.

Bad lighting. I know. Not a lot of sun at 4:00 in the morning. And of course I will redo the layout a couple more times before sewing all the blocks together. But you can start to get an idea of how this is going to look.
I am always amazed at how much time a scrappy type quilt takes. There's so much more decision-making to do. And you have to just keep pulling more fabrics from stash and adding them in to the mix. The more the merrier!
Whoo, now it's 6:00. I can get dressed and go out to walk. I can hear the birds outside my window, starting to chirp away. I like to walk when the sun is coming up.
Wishing all of you a pieceful day!

I like it. I may need to add that to my to do list. Simple but a great overall effect.
