Yesterday my oldest granddaughter came over in the morning to bake with me. She's 16, and turning into a nice young lady. We made a large number of challah breads, and had the best time together. I was reminded of how wonderful it is to have a granddaughter. So in the afternoon, after she went home with her fragrant-smelling loaves, I was happy to think about all my lovely little girls while I worked on my girly little pinwheel quilt.
