Festival of Light

Last night we found ourselves walking the alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem with thousands of others who had come to view the Festival of Light. This is a yearly week-long event, where artists are invited to create unique art installations with their individual interpretations of light. Outside the Jaffa Gate, the first thing we came upon was this amazing dome fashioned of thousands of lights.
It was made in Italy and brought here for the Festival.
Looking up at the inside of the dome...

Many people could fit inside here. And even trees...

The center of the dome was a beautiful medallion.
Together with many thousands of others, we enjoyed the Festival of Light.
