This pattern goes by so many names. Some of them are World Without End, Periwinkle, and Hummingbird. I've wanted to make it for a while now, and yesterday I came across a paper piecing pattern in an old Miniature Quilt Ideas Magazine from Spring 2003. The block is 3" finished, and the quilt is made up of 16 blocks.
I've decided to call my little quilt Star of Hope. Because right now, I am in need of hope...and prayers. My sprained ankle isn't getting any better, and tomorrow I am going for a CT and ultrasound to determine if it's actually something called a Lisfranc fracture. My doctor warned me not to Google it, so of course I did, and I was immediately sorry for having done it. It's not pretty.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Susan

I love that little block. It's so delicate looking. I'm so sorry you haven't mended yet. I'll keep you in my prayers and I'm sending you a hug.
So sorry about your leg. Here's hoping that you are on the mend soon!
Love your block and I look forward to seeing what you will do with it.
Get well!
Hugs
of course you are in our prayers for a speedy recovery. The best thing to do is what you are doing. Quilting!
Prayers from Texas for a speedy recovery!
hope you have a refuah shlaymah, not what you need before Pesach or anytime. Good thing you are going away.
Love Renee
