When I moved to Israel, I never dreamed that I would find so many wonderful quilters here. Now, not only do I belong to one quilt group, but amazingly I belong to two! Today we had a meeting of our little group in my neighborhood. What a special group of ladies. Sahra is a beginning quilter, but boy did she get into it quickly. She has already made some baby quilts, some doll quilts, a comfort quilt for a sick friend, and now she has learned how to make hexagons!
These beauties are destined to become part of a table runner.
Another hexie project. This one will be a pillow. Recently Sahra went on vacation, and she learned how fun it is to work on hexies while on the road.

(You can see Bracha's beautiful hexagon wallhanging in the background.)
Bracha has been keeping busy with a very special project for sick and handicapped children. She has been making mini hospital gowns for some hand-made dolls that are being given out to the children. Every time we see Bracha, she has more of those gowns made. And now they are being embellished, with pockets and appliques. Just the thing to cheer a sick child.
Bracha's love of birdhouses has inspired some really original little quilts lately. Look at what she made for her brother.
This cute teddy bear quilt was started a while ago, but it looks like Bracha is coming to the finish line soon. The quilting is done and now...on to the binding.

Wonderful post today. I enjoyed seeing everything you ladies are making. I hope to get an invite someday to join you.
Your group of quilting gals is very industrious. Love seeing all the things you're making.
