Thankful Thursday

I'm sitting outside on my porch, listening to the birds chirping in the trees nearby. The two cats are keeping me company. They love this early spring weather too.

And I'm thinking about how much I have to be thankful for:
For the ability to get outside onto my porch and sit here, enjoying.
For a day without painkillers--the first in almost three weeks.
For a foot with just three broken bones...that will heal without surgery.
For beautiful blossoming trees in the valley below. Even though I can't hike down there to see them like I usually do, I can still see them from my window.
For the support and good wishes of friends who called, sent cards, brought food, visited, and e-mailed.
For Mom and Dad, who make sure to call every day and let me know that they care.
For wonderful children, who are busy with their own lives and families, but make sure to let me know that they love me.
For miracles that happen daily, whether they're obvious to us or not.

And even though this was originally supposed to have 16 blocks...I'm glad that at least I made it to nine. And part of the border is done too...

And yes, I'm grateful too. For my friend in Neve Yaacov. Glad you're getting better.

I'm so glad you're on the mend without surgery. And that's a lovely little quilt.
